Profile Features

What is Matrimony ID?

A Matrimony ID is a unique combination of an alphabet and a Eigth-digit number (for example: Be123456). To identify you uniquely, a Matrimony ID is assigned to you when you register with us. This Matrimony ID is to bereferred in all correspondence to shaadis.com

How do I Login?

Visit : http://www.matrimonys.com

Under the "Member Login" section, enter your "Matrimony ID" and "Password" in the respective boxes and Click on the "Login" button to login to your account.

Also, instead of Matrimony ID, you can login using the email address you provided at the time of registration.

I forgot my Matrimony ID / Password. What should I do?
Visit : http://www.matrimonys.com

Click on the "Forgot Password" link in the home page and enter your "MatrimonyID". Your "Matrimony ID" and "Password" will be mailed to you immediately.

Your Email address should be the one given in your profile.

How do I change my password ?

  • Visit: http://www.matrimonys.com

  • Login using your "Matrimony ID" and "Password"

  • Under "Profiles" section in the left navigation, Click on "Change Password".

  • Enter your old password.

  • Enter your new password and confirm the same. Click on "Change Password" button.

  • Your new password will be immediately activated. Please use the new password the next time you login.

How do I add my profile?

  • Click on the link "New Registration" for Registration.

  • The form to add your profile will be displayed. Give all the necessary as well as optional details asked in the form. Click on submit button.

  • Give as many details as possible, including your contact details in full. This will increase the chances of your profile being displayed when our members search for matches.

  • After you submit your information, your profile will be automatically created and you shall be generated a "User ID" for future references.

All the profiles are validated before inclusion in the database. It may take up to 24 hours for the validation. An E-mail would be sent to you once the profile is added.

How do I modify my profile?

To modify your profile contents,

  • Visit: http://www.matrimonys.com

  • Login using your "Matrimony / Email ID" and "Password"

  • Under the "Profile" section in the left navigation, Click on the "Modify Profile" option.

  • You can modify the profile contents that are displayed and confirm it by Clicking on the "Modify Profile" button.

How long will it take for the modifications to reflect on my profile?

It will take a maximum of 24 hrs, since the modifications go through a validation process before being added to the profile.

How do I delete my profile?

 To delete your profile:

  • Visit http://www.matrimonys.com

  • Login using your "Matrimony ID" and "Password"

  • Select the "Delete Profile" option under "Profiles" section in the left navigation and enter the reason for deletion.

  • Click on the "Yes" button. Your profile will be deleted with in 24 Hours.

Please note that profiles once deleted cannot be restored or reactivated.

New to our site? Or just want to have a sneak preview of the profiles registered with us? Then quick search is the ideal search option for you.

Under the Quick Search option, enter the age limit and select your relevant language portal. You can also choose to search for profiles with and without photos. You will get a list of profiles that match your preferences.
 

What is advanced search?

Advanced Search is designed to cover every aspect of your search criteria and this will deliver profiles matching your specific criteria. Advanced Search has additional options of searching for profiles using keywords, caste no bar option, search on the basis of residing state and physical status to further bring profiles closest to your expectations. You can also search for manglik profiles.

How do I bookmark profiles?

  • Visit http://www.matrimonys.com

  • Login using your "Matrimony ID" and "Password"

  • Under the "Search" in the left navigation section, select the "Search" option.

  • If you are interested in a profile in the search results, click on the "Bookmark" option.

  • This will add the profile to your list of bookmarked profiles. You can also add a comment while bookmarking the profiles. Profiles bookmarked by you will be displayed with an image and your comments during the Search and View operations.

What is the use of free membership?

A free membership is ideal for starters. As a free member, you can Post your profile Add your photo to it (optional), Receive mails of matching profiles Use "Free Contact" to send an automated message expressing your interest to a member.

You can receive email from Paid members and you can reply to their email. The messages sent by Paid members will be stored in your "Inbox" folder in your "Matrimony account" and your e-mail address . You can login to your account to check the received messages.

  • No. Only Standard Members can send personalized messages. However, Free Members can use "Express Interest" to send an automated message expressing interest to a member.

  • Also if a Standard member contacts you, their message will be stored in your "Inbox/Received" folder directly along with their E-mail address.

What is Express Interest ?

Express Interest is an exclusive feature that enables you to send automated messages to members absolutely FREE.
